Course Structures

Courses offered by the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management are crafted in a way to provide every individual the opportunity of either specializing in a certain area of study or to sit through all four academic years of the HND.
 
Industrial training is introduced at both Craft Level & Certificate Level whilst Intermediate & Advanced Level courses introduce management studies.
The course structure is as follows;
 
Craft Level – Craft + 01 years of industrial experience (Disciplines – Cookery, F&B, Housekeeping)
 
Certificate Level – 06 months industry training in each discipline (Disciplines – Professional Cookery, F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping)
 
Intermediate Level – 06 months (Disciplines – Professional Cookery, F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping)
 
Advanced Level – 03 months (Disciplines – Professional Cookery, F&B, Accommodation Operations)
 
04 year Management Diploma in Hotel & Catering Operations or 03 year National Diploma in Hospitality Management
