The Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association is proud to announce that Trevine Gomez, a former President and current Executive Committee member of the association, has been Included in the 11- member Advisory Committee appointed by the Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga.

Trevine Gomez, a respected hospitality industry specialist, was the President of the Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association during the period 2005/06. He is the Chairman – Organizing Committee of CHSGA’s ‘Hotel Show’, which has been held since 1998, and is considered the country’s premier and South Asia’s largest Hospitality Trade Exhibition.

Chaired by Mr. Hiran Cooray, the committee has representation from all key sectors of the industry including the travel industry, hoteliers and wellness tourism, digital marketing, online marketing and online travel agents.

During the inaugural meeting of the newly- appointed Tourism Advisory committee, held at the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, the committee was tasked to draw up a framework and to submit a proposal to open the country for travel again, initially through a travel bubble or travel corridor, as well as in the short term, finding alternate means of livelihoods for those dependent on the tourist sector.
